Department of Art & Design hosts senior exhibitions

The exhibitions will be on view from Nov. 21 through Dec. 3 in the Mary Ed Mecoy Hall Gallery and the Clara M. Eagle Galleries, located on the sixth and seventh floors of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Building on the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ campus.

MURRAY, Ky. – The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Department of Arts & Design and University Galleries are pleased to announce the capstone exhibitions of work by Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) students for fall 2025.

The exhibitions will be on view from Nov. 21 through Dec. 3 in the Mary Ed Mecoy Hall Gallery and the Clara M. Eagle Galleries, located on the sixth and seventh floors of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Building on the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ campus. An opening reception will be held in the galleries on Friday, Nov. 21, from 5-7 p.m. Artist talks will begin at 5 p.m. in Room 623 located inside the Clara Eagle Gallery.

In partial fulfillment of their graduation requirements, students pursuing a fine arts degree (BFA, BA or BS) are required to present an exhibition of recent works completed during their study at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. With the guidance of individualized advisors and faculty committees and the director of University Galleries, these capstone exhibitions generally take the form of concurrent exhibitions or small groups of students presenting as a collective within a gallery space.

Fragments, an exhibition of work by students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, will feature 10 art & design majors: 

          • Adam Ashlock (Paris, Tennessee)

          • Addison Miller (Murray, Kentucky)

          • Anna Pham (Paducah, Kentucky)

          • Hugo Hodge (Paducah, Kentucky)

          • Kailee Goff (Centertown, Kentucky)

          • Kyah Acree (Cadiz, Kentucky)

          • Luke Medley (Paducah, Kentucky)

          • Rose Craig (Hartford, Kentucky)

          • Samira Johnson (Lexington, Kentucky)

          • Zachariah Alexander (Cadiz, Kentucky)

Six exhibitions by Bachelor of Fine Arts students will also be on view:

          • The Weft and the Warp by Daisy Grimes (Paducah, Kentucky), BFA Art/Studio Art Track

          • Beyond Batik by Irian Christie (Eddyville, Kentucky), BFA Art/Studio Art Track

          • Turnpike Traveler by Maidie Bohannon (Benton, Kentucky), BFA Art/Graphic Design Track 

          • The Flower Bed by Mara Gagel (Louisville, Kentucky), BFA Art/Graphic Design Track

          • Blush Records by Olivia Guess (Benton, Kentucky), BFA Art/Graphic Design Track

          • Learning Different by Randi Miget (Dyer, Tennessee) BFA Art/ Graphic Design Track

The University Galleries visitor hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the galleries is free and open to the public.
