A member of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business faculty since 2009, Dr. Betts teaches classes in Introduction to Operations Management, Advanced Operations Management with a process focus, and Fundamentals of Management. A native of Iowa, Dr. Betts earned her bachelor’s degree in Transportation and Logistics from Iowa State University. Upon graduation, she worked for a national electronics and high-value product transportation company in a variety of managerial positions for approximately nine years. An additional nine years with Pella Corporation included roles in cost management, scheduling management, and supply chain management. In 2007, Dr. Betts completed her master’s degree in business from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, and in 2012, completed her doctorate in Production Operations Management from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Betts’ experience and research interests have primarily been focused on the area where supply chain management links to production operations. She believes improving the successful link between supply chain management and production operations has the potential to significantly impact business success and growth opportunities. Throughout her courses, she tries to associate her real-world experience with the course material and emphasize the practical application of the lessons under discussion.

Dr. Yana Andonova joined ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in 2015. She teaches Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Digital Marketing. She is an advisor for the department’s student club. She completed her MBA and PhD degrees at the University of Massachusetts—Amherst. She holds a BA from the American University in Bulgaria. Her research interests include customer engagement, digital marketing, and public policy. Her research has been published in Business Horizons, Marketing Letters, The Journal of Marketing Intelligence and Planning. She is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Consumer Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Intelligence and Planning.

Christopher A. Craig is the Tom W. Hutchens Endowed Full Professor at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ University’s Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business. He holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Environmental Dynamics from the University of Arkansas, an M.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Arkansas, and an M.B.A. from the University of Mississippi. His research explores the complex interactions between the natural environment (inclusive climate change), organizations, and society more broadly. Craig has taught a variety of management and sustainability courses, including Applied Organizational Sustainability, which won the Grand Page Prize from the University of South Carolina for the best integration of sustainability into business curricula. Other notable recognitions include the Academy of Management (ONE Division) Teacher of the Year award and the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Presidential Research Award. Craig is also active in service to the management profession, where he serves as Editor-in-Chief of The Case Journal and Associate Editor of the Journal of Outdoor Recreation & Tourism. He routinely gives invited talks on business pedagogy and accreditation.

Rob Evans, Jr., is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ with extensive experience in academia, research, and academic leadership. He specializes in corporate social activism, sponsorship, consumer neuroscience, and financial market responses to marketing strategies. Dr. Evans has published in top-tier journals such as Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, Finance Research Letters, and Economics Letters. His research integrates the diverse fields of behavioral finance, marketing strategy, and the investor-consumer relationship. Before joining ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, he served in senior roles at Texas A&M International University, including Director of Assessment and Curriculum Management and Development, Associate Professor of Marketing, and chairing various University Committees on enrollment, recruitment, and strategic branding. Dr. Evans has been active in AACSB accreditation, serving as a consultant to schools seeking to enter the accreditation process, curriculum development, and Title IX investigations. He is a veteran (E-4, Specialist) of the U.S. Army Reserves, where he served as a 91-J, physical therapy specialist, and a 91-B, combat medic.

Terry Holmes, a member of the faculty since 2000, teaches the MBA core course in marketing and undergraduate courses in e-commerce, and sports business. Dr. Holmes earned a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Cincinnati in 1997, MBA from the University of Kentucky (1984), and BSBA in marketing from the University of Louisville (1982). He has published articles, cases, and proceedings in several areas of research, including relationship marketing, marketing education, and business communication. His private sector experience includes business ownership of a software training firm, free-lance software training, training and development specialist for an insurance company home office, and retail management.

Dr. Ismail Karabas has been an Associate Professor of Marketing at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ since 2018. Dr. Karabas has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Izmir University of Economics (in Turkey) and a PhD in Marketing from Washington State University. At ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, he teaches Integrated Marketing Communications (undergraduate) and Marketing Planning and Application (MBA). His research explores areas such as services marketing and advertising, and he has published more than 20 articles in quality marketing and hospitality journals.

Dr. Sarah Lefebvre is an Associate Professor of Marketing at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing (Consumer Behavior) from the University of Central Florida, and also holds degrees in business, nutrition, and human kinetics. Her research examines how environmental and contextual cues—such as dinnerware, lighting, packaging, and digital interfaces—influence food and beverage consumption, brand perceptions, and consumer decision-making. She has published in leading journals, including the Journal of Consumer Psychology, the International Journal of Hospitality Management, and the Journal of Business Research. Dr. Lefebvre has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and serves in editorial and leadership roles within the marketing and hospitality fields. Beyond research, Dr. Lefebvre enjoys mentoring students, helping them build confidence in their skills, and showing how marketing concepts apply in real-world settings. She also brings industry experience from advertising and marketing agencies into the classroom, giving students a well-rounded perspective on both theory and practice.

Dr. Linnhoff teaches courses in marketing research, retailing management, selling and sales management, and principles of marketing. A member of the department since 2010, he holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Mississippi (2011) and an MBA from Berry College (Rome, Ga., 2005). In his native Germany, Dr. Linnhoff holds the Assessor iuris (second state exam in law, equivalent to the bar exam in the U.S.) (2000), and the First State Exam in Law (equivalent to the Juris Doctor in the U.S.), University of Münster, Germany (1997).

Dr. Jeremy North has been a member of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business faculty since 2014. He teaches Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics courses. His research interests include mathematical modeling, optimization, and heuristic algorithm development. Dr. North earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Additionally, he earned a BBA and an MBA at Pittsburg State University. Jeremy is also a veteran of the US Army. He was a paratrooper and a non-commissioned officer serving in the Military Intelligence Corps. Sgt. North participated in numerous operations and deployments during his military career.

Dr. Richard Oxarart is an Assistant Professor of Management and Human Resource Management here at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. He teaches classes in human resources, organizational behavior, and general management. He received his Ph.D. in Management from West Virginia University in Management and his MBA from Illinois State University. His primary research interests include employee motivation, job design, workplace spirituality, and gamification techniques. His research has been published in several publications, including Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal, Journal of Critical Incidents, and the Journal of Managerial Issues.

Ifeoluwa Tobi Popoola (PhD., Mississippi) or Dr. P, is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. He previously worked internationally as an External Auditor at Deloitte, Nigeria, a Big 4 Accounting firm. Currently, he teaches multiple Management courses in the Management, Marketing, Business Administration, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management Department. His research focuses on examining the role of accountability within leadership, management history, and ethics - including (un)ethical pro-organizational behavior and (un)ethical decision making. Dr. Popoola earned his Bachelor's (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Ilorin (Nigeria), Bachelor's (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK), and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University in Shreveport (US). He co-authored a book chapter and published multiple literary works and articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Accounting Auditing and Accountability Journal, the International Journal of Organizational Analysis, Journal of Education for Business, Journal of Higher Education Theory and Practice, Journal of Management Education, Journal of Management History, Leadership, and Management Decision Journal. He previously co-won the Best Paper Award at the Academy of Management, History Division.

Teri Ray, Lecturer, is the faculty advisor for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She holds the SPHR certification and is ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s liaison for the Four Rivers Chapter of SHRM (Paducah). She earned a Bachelor of Business degree from Campbellsville University (1987) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Morehead State University (2001). She teaches courses in Business Communication, Human Resource Selection, Compensation Management, and Labor/Management Relations.

Joy Roach Humphreys, Ph.D., professor, teaches courses in foundations of business, business communications, and technology for marketing. Humphreys is a ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ alum and also earned a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, specializing in the fields of workforce development and business education. At ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, she has served as a department chair and then 7 years as associate dean while leading successful AACSB re-accreditation efforts. She has won ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s Sandra Flynn Professor of the Year Award for her teaching service and has published work in Business Communication Quarterly, Journal for Global Business Education, Journal of Applied Research for Business Instruction, and others. Also in 2008, Humphreys (nee Roach) won the Delta Pi Epsilon Dissertation Award, an honor bestowed on the author of the top-rated dissertation of those nominated and blind-reviewed in the United States and Canada in the fields of business education and business communication.

Dr. L. Jeff Seaton has been a member of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ department of Management, Marketing and Business Administration since 2007. At ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ he primarily teaches Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the graduate level. Before coming to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ he taught at the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Memphis. Dr. Seaton’s educational credentials consist of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and a PhD. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of Memphis. Dr. Seaton’s areas of research are ethics, organizational aggression, whistle-blowing, individual perceptions/rationalities and emotional labor. He has several publications in business journals and made numerous presentations at business conferences throughout the United States. Dr. Seaton has provided research/consulting and/or training for the Federal Aviation Administration, M.S. Carriers Trucking Company, Kroger Food Stores, Inc., Office of Naval Research, Kentucky Emergency Medical Services, Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Paris-Henry County TN Arts Council, Weakley County, TN General Sessions Court System, Peel and Holland Financial Group, various Chamber of Commences, numerous law enforcement departments throughout Tennessee and Kentucky, and many other for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Before going into academics, Dr. Seaton worked as a manager in manufacturing, owner/manager of an electrical services business and served 11 years as a law enforcement officer where he ended his law enforcement career at the rank of Chief Investigator and POST certified Training Officer. Currently, Dr. Seaton is the owner of Seaton’s Electrical Service in Paris, TN., is a Friends of Paris Landing board member, is a Henry Co. Tourism executive board member, and serves the Paris/Henry Co. Chamber of Commerce as an executive board member and 2012/13 chamber president.

Jan Super, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration. A member of the faculty since 2014, Dr. Super teaches Advanced Topics in Human Resource Management and Fundamentals of Management. Her research interests include compensation and rewards, information sharing, and strategic human resource management. Dr. Super earned her bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS. She spent several years working in the Kansas City area, both for a defense contractor and for a major greeting card company. Dr. Super completed her master’s degree, as well as her doctorate, at the University of Kansas.

Mrs. Dayna Hutchinson serves as the Administrative Assistant and an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Management, Marketing, Business Administration, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. Since joining the department in March 2010, Mrs. Hutchinson has been a vital member of our team. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Office Systems from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in 2016, followed by her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management in 2017. In addition to her academic achievements, Mrs. Hutchinson and her husband launched a successful Food Truck Business in 2020. She holds certifications, including ServSafe Food Protection Manager, CITI (Conflicts of Interest Certification), and is pursuing her SHRM-CP Certification. Before her tenure at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, Mrs. Hutchinson held various roles at Jakel Inc., including general laborer, ISO/Quality Assurance Coordinator, Assistant Human Resource Coordinator, and Production Manager.
