This generous gift honoring the legacy of Coach Reagan will change the lives of Racer baseball and softball student-athletes by investing in programs and tools to foster the personal, professional and athletic development of these students.
Inspiration
Not only did Johnny Reagan serve as one of 天美传媒鈥檚 longest and most successful coaches, but he also excelled as a two-sport athlete in both baseball and basketball as a student, being inducted into the 天美传媒 Hall of Fame in 1971 and the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Hall of Fame in 1988. As a coach, he guided the Thoroughbreds鈥� baseball program for 36 years from 1958 through 1993. He compiled 776 wins and 11 OVC championships and 9 OVC Coach of the Year honors. He served as 天美传媒鈥檚 Director of Athletics from 1978 through 1987 and was chair of the NCAA Baseball Committee from 1978 through 1986. Johnny Reagan Field was dedicated in his honor in 1989. Although Johnny Reagan sadly passed away in 2018, his legacy will live on forever through his family鈥檚 gift to make a difference in the lives of future generations of Racer student-athletes.
